“So far ok. Just within my staying, the electric trip. So we in darkness around 1 hr. A bit far from the restaurant. My bad day, the electric trip along the places which is very dark in the night. The best thing I like this hotel because the pool is very big. Luckily, my staying not at school holiday, so not many people staying. Me and kids hv fun while we re swimming.”

“Spacious and clean. Modern industrial feel. Kid friendly. White clean fresh sheets,pillows and towels provided. Games provided good for family bonding. Convenient location. 5 min walk to jetty. Great coz we booked snorkeling trip at the nearby islands. The proximity allowed us to step out in our swimming outfits straight and then back to the apartment without having to carry change of clothes and use the public restrooms. Plenty of local food nearby, convenience stores, modern cafes such as Zus. For fastfood there's Marrybrown. All walking distance. We brought own drinking water when turned out its not necessary since there's filtered water dispensing hot, cold n normal temp water. Only shortcoming is the stairs. It's located abv shophouse with no lift. Not suitable for wheelchair, prams or weak knees.”

“This place has a swimming pool though I never use it. It is old thus unfortunately it has those old room facilities that are out of maintenance. Come with its own car park so no parking issues. 24hour check in and check out, we could leave early to catch the early morning ferry. It serves its purpose as a stop over place before continuing the journey to another destination.”

“Basic hotel voor 1 nachtje i.v.m. overtocht veerboot naar Tioman-eiland. Prima bedden en schone ruime kamer. Mooi uitzicht op rivier met bootjes. Grote supermarkt en wat winkeltjes om de hoek van het hotel. Busstation op steenworp afstand. Centrum 10 minuten lopen en opstapplaats veerboot ca. 15 minuten lopen. Hotel heeft verder weinig voorzieningen, maar is strategisch gunstig gelegen.”

“Merlin Inn Hotel is a cozy and affordable place to stay if you're planning a trip to Tioman Island or exploring Mersing town. The location is strategic—just a short drive to the jetty and close to shops and eateries in town. The staff are friendly, polite, and always ready to help with a smile, which adds a warm touch to the stay. The room is clean and well-maintained, with essential amenities provided such as air conditioning, water heater, towels, and a water dispenser nearby. However, do note that toothbrushes and toothpaste are not included, so bring your own. The bed is comfortable, and the overall environment is quiet, making it suitable for light sleepers. A useful tip: request a room on the first floor for a better internet connection. The Wi-Fi tends to be stronger there compared to the upper floors. Parking is available right in front of the hotel, which is convenient for those driving. Overall, Merlin Inn is a simple, no-frills stay that delivers good value, friendly service, and a strategic location for both transit and short stays in Mersing.”
