“The main complaint I had was the hotel refused to let me pay the $200 deposit by cash. I did not have the money on my discover used to pay for the room or in my checking acct. I was given the option to use a card or cancel my reservations. It was midnight and I had surgery at 5:00 am the next morning. I didn’t have the extra money or time to find another hotel. I was forced to use my bank card which overdrew my checking account and that cost me an additional $27 thru my bank in overdraft fees. Then I was told the deposit would be refunded back to my card on 2-4 business days. It has now been 5 business days and I still do not have the $100 refund in my bank account. Because of this inconvenience I will not be staying at Avid hotels in the future.”
