“I recently stayed at this hotel and had an amazing experience! The staff is super friendly, and everything was just perfect. The facilities are top-notch, and the room was incredibly spacious. The highlight for me was the bed – it's the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever had.
The hotel has plenty of amenities, including a cafe downstairs and a large lobby area. They also provide daily cleaning, which was great. I had no issues during my stay and really enjoyed my time there. If I ever visit New Orleans again, I will definitely stay here. Highly recommend!”
“The hotel itself is fine and the location is excellent, but we had several awful service experiences.
First, the king bed room we booked was not available when we check in, so they put us in a double bed room and said they would move us the next day.
Then when we went to the front desk to move to our new room, the person at the front desk was not friendly and was taking so long to handle our situation. We were worried we would be late for our tour, so we asked if we could leave and they could move our luggage to the new room. She said no, we can't change rooms until we are ready to move the luggage ourselves, and that our luggage would stay in the old room.
When we came back later that day, they moved us to our new room but our luggage was not in our old room or the new room! We were so worried they lost our luggage. Finally they figured out that they moved our luggage to a 3rd room, and they tried to blame us for it. All of these interactions took a long time because the front desk was so slow and the line was long. After all that trouble, they only gave us a meager $25 credit as an apology.
Lastly, we accidentally left a small pouch of personal items in our first room and when we told them about this, they made no effort to try and find it. When we checked out, we also left a souvenir we had bought in the room accidentally. We tried calling the hotel to see if they could find the missing item and ship it to us. We waited on hold for a long time before the front desk transferred us to the wrong place, the automated reservations agent. So frustrating!
It is clear the staff there do not communicate between shifts or departments and just don't care about treating their guests well. Simple things like contacting the lost and found about a missing item should not be this difficult.
The only good staff interactions we had were with the interns who were there on a training program.
Also the wifi is not free. How are big hotels like this getting away with charging for wifi in 2025?
